Our house - the room to rent is the window above the front door

We are looking for a quiet female who will enjoy the peace and calm of our family home. This is an elegant, spacious room in a lovely family home in a Victorian townhouse in central Edinburgh. A 10 minute walk from Haymarket Station and 5 minutes by bus to Princes Street. Newly refurbished bathroom.

The room available to rent is beautiful tranquil room overlooking our private walled garden. It has a very comfortable double bed (new John Lewis pocket sprung mattress) and dressing table with chair and mirror. Blackout blind. Original fireplace and cornicing. Fridge, microwave, and kettle in the room making it an ideal base for someone who wants to be independent but within a warm and friendly environment. Towels provided. Bedding changed and room cleaned fortnightly. Free wifi. Hanging and drawer space for clothes.

PLEASE NOTE: the room is offered on a room only basis and does not include access to the family kitchen or lounge. However, as the room is self-contained and well-equipped we hope this won't cause any difficulties.

We are a family of four with two teenage daughters and have been renting out the room to theatre professionals on an ad hoc basis for five years (look for us on theatredigsbooker and see 20 great guest reviews). We are now offerigng the room on a longer-term basis, with the room being available until summer 2019 again after the Edinburgh Festival.

We are looking for a lodger, who will appreciate the welcoming feel of our family home and also respect it as such.
