I have a double room available in my flat available from March. The room is fully furnished with wardrobe, chest of draws, bedside table, and a double bed. It is in a large flat with 3 bedrooms, I live in one of the rooms and my flatmate lives in the other. It is a top floor flat with a large kitchen, shared bathroom, living room (with a balcony), a shared garden, free parking, as well as amazing views over West Edinburgh towards the Pentland Hills. The room has central heating and is well insulated with modern double glazing.
The flat is located on St John’s Road and has fast bus links into the city centre, taking about 15 minutes to get to Princes Street. A bus stop is located right outside the flat with the 12, 26, 31, and night bus N26 stopping there. The 100 express bus service to the airport and city centre also stops near the flat. Walking into the city centre takes a little longer, however there is great footpath/cycle way, part of which is along old railway, which takes you Ball Green tram stop or Haymarket Station and avoids the traffic.
The area has a great community feel with all the shops and amenities you could need, with a Sainsbury's Local, Costa, a butcher and a bakery located about 50m from the flat. There are also numerous pubs, cafes, restaurants and takeaways close by. Stortebacker, the smallest bakery in Edinburgh, is located directly opposite the flat and sells amazing cakes and bread!! Additionally, if you prefer something a little larger an enormous Tesco Extra is located a short walk up the road and the Gyle Shopping Centre located close by.
We are both clean and tidy, but also laid back and sociable. We are looking to rent the room out to a friendly person who we can socialise with, whether it’s cooking for each other, watching a movie, going for a hike, or going down the pub together.
