Bigger room

Hi there!

Are you an incoming student for the academic year 2022/2023 looking for a room? Are you ready to share a flat with two PhD students? Then this is your chance!

Our two flatmates have become adults and are leaving us, so we have two rooms to rent in our lovely flat!

About the flat:
- The two rooms are £454 (the bigger one) and £388 (the smaller one). Both come with a desk, chair, and all of that stuff you kind of need in a room to live in it and study.
The bigger one additionally comes with two sofas and a coffee table of sorts that also works as a bookshelf (note that in the pic there's an extra bookshelf, but our flatmate is taking it with her unfortunately, along with the PC screen and PC chair)

- The kitchen was renoved a couple of summers ago so it looks a bit more modern than the rest of the flat. It has your usual kitchen stuff: washing machine, dishwasher that's never used, a fridge, kettle, and storage for each flatmate for food/etc.
- The bathroom is a bathroom: toilet, shower, sink. It's also very white so it feels like being in a weird spa.
- A small cupboard where we put our stuff when we want to tidy but don't really tidy up.

Although the flat doesn't have a common space, we usually hang out in the kitchen (it can host about 10/11 people - or it has in the past when we've had dinners with friends).

About us!

I'm Tanvi, a PhD student in psychology, going into my final year, which means you’ll probably see me pulling my hair and or teeth out at some point. When I'm not losing it completely, I'm pretty laid back, like discussing psychology, films, tv and current events, am a bit of a gym rat and love my sleep.

I'm Yoli, a 2nd PhD student going into my 3rd. I usually complain about my cells not growing and/or failed experiments; very typical answers to “how’s your day been?” (Yes, making a spoiler here). I also love the outdoors a lot so if you haven’t seen me in a while I'm probably somewhere on my bike or lost in a tent in the Highlands. I love a good chat and sociable activities in general, big fan of activities!

What are we looking for?

Postgrads only, please, and PhDs are preferable for the large room. The smaller room is more suited to someone who’s around for a one year masters.
In general, we’re looking for people who are sociable and friendly, up for social things, and clean and respectful of common spaces.
