I have a room available for a lodger in my house in NR2.

Whilst I am technically a ‘live-in’ landlord, I split my time between Norwich and London, where my partner and I work. My partner and I will come to Norwich occasionally - usually on weekends (not every week).

Most of the time you would have the place to yourself and for this reason I am looking for someone reliable and trustworthy who will respect the house and look after it, as I won’t be home very often. I would also like a housemate who is communicative so that we can stay in touch about any concerns within the household/house especially when I’m not there.

This is a great option for someone interested in having more of their own space at a lesser cost than covering rent & bills for a whole property alone.

The quoted price includes all utilities, council tax, tv license and virgin fibre broadband.

I am a trans man and my partner is non-binary, therefore it is essential that you are queer-friendly; we would prefer to live with someone who is also queer but that isn’t a deal breaker. My partner and I put on drag shows in Norwich, we also enjoy attending drag shows as well as theatre, musicals and other performance. We enjoy the cinema, tv/film and most of our 'nights in' consist of watching something in the living room together.

The room for rent is at the back of the house on the first floor, overlooking the garden. Due to being an 'over-the-passage' property, the room is larger than average at around 3 x 4.5m, perfect for someone who needs extra space for home working or hobbies. The room can come furnished or unfurnished depending on preference (would not be all the same furniture picture) and includes a huge mirror! There is a spacious en-suite with a bath and shower, and a large cupboard for plenty of storage.

The downstairs bathroom would primarily be for use by myself and my partner when we are there, but you would have access to this in order to use the washer-dryer which is in there. There is a shared living room which has a TV with a Roku smart TV stick; dining room; kitchen with dishwasher and all the usual appliances; and garden. There is a large shed with space for bike storage and parking is permit free, on-street parking. As with a lot of similar terraced streets in Norwich, parking is up on the kerb and can be tight at times (particularly evenings/overnight) but having lived here since 2017 I have always been able to find a space on the street, even if not right in front of the property. There are nearby bus stops with buses going to the city, Longwater, UEA and NNUH. There is also a 'Beryl' bike rack just around the corner, which I have found very handy at times!

Unfortunately due to allergies, furry animals would not be able to live in the property but I am open to discussion about other pets (e. g. fish, reptiles) as long as you are responsible and keep them clean and well cared for. No smoking is permitted in the property as this exacerbates my asthma.

Move in dates are very flexible, I am more interested in finding the right person to live with and vice versa due to the slightly unique living arrangement.
