This apartment is one of the most popular student apartments in York. The room is very spacious, with the same overall space as a studio apartment. There are only two such rooms in the entire building. It's like paying the price of an ensuite but getting a studio room. The kitchen is on the first floor, so there's no need to worry about the room being filled with cooking odors. There's also a separate storage area (see picture 6) where you can store a lot of things, so you don't have to pile everything in the room. It's just you on the entire floor! The sound insulation is good, and there are no houses to the right of the room. The room has two large bay windows, offering a great view and a lot of natural light. There's an ensuite bathroom.
The location is also excellent, in the city center. It's a 2-minute walk to the bus stop and very close to the University of York. There are also many nearby supermarkets (Waitrose, Marks & Spencer, Morrisons, etc., all within a 5-minute walk). It's very convenient for living, with good facilities. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and other appliances.
