Room in a friendly house share on Hull Road

After 5 great years living in this excellent house share on Hull Road I’m moving on to pastures new. This property is a four bedroom house, situated very close to local shops, pubs and public transport connections and is well within walking distance of the University of York and the town centre.

The room itself is situated down a corridor at the back of the house with a good view of our back garden and its own bathroom. It comes with a double bed (the mattress is only a couple of months old), a chest of drawers, desk, chair, shelves and a built in wardrobe. It’s a light and comfortable room and as it’s at the back of the house you rarely get troubled by noise from Hull Road.

The house has a large shared living room and kitchen, two further shared bathrooms and a multipurpose room (we tend to use it for bike storage, working/studying and clothes drying), plus attic space for more storage. There is also a massive back garden with bbq area, pond and trampoline and a paved front garden with space to park 2 cars.

All bills are included save for internet (£7 a month) and cleaners for the communal areas (£19 a month). The letting agency (Linley and Simpson) charge a referencing fee which is, I believe £180 but will double check.

The housemates are a mixture of professionals and postgraduate students, they’re all friendly and welcoming and are always happy to chat after work, eat and watch TV/films together. I have absolutely loved living here.
