Garden-facing double bedroom in a 3-bed semi-detached house (shared with one housemate).
I co-own the house with the existing flatmate, and am looking for a lodger to take my room as I am moving to Boston in July. The room is available for up to 3 years, long lets preferred. My housemate, Aurelie, is a 28 y/o research chemist working in Loughborough. We tend to do a lot of hiking in the Peak District on weekends, as well as bouldering in Nottingham city centre. Aurelie does lindy hop and salsa dancing during the week. A lodger with similar interests or interesting hobbies definitely preferred!
We are looking for a female lodger of a similar age, preferably a working professional. Postgraduate students also considered. We keep the house fairly tidy and cook quite a lot, so someone who clears up after cooking etc much preferred. We are more than happy to consider pets on a case-by-case basis (dogs very welcome!).
Additional details:
Bedroom – The room available is the largest double room. It faces onto the garden so is very private and is pretty quiet at night. Furniture left in the room will include a king-size bed, bedside table, chest of drawers, wardrobe, mirror, and shelving over the bed. We have plenty of attic space available to use as you like to store suitcases/boxes etc.
Bathroom – The house has one bathroom, with a bath and shower. There is ample cupboard storage.
Kitchen – There is a newly re-tiled kitchen with a double oven and gas hob. Appliances include a microwave, dishwasher, toaster and food processor/blender. Lots of kitchenware (i. e. plates/bowls, utensils) will be staying in the house, and you are welcome to use any of it.
Living room & dining room – There is an open plan living/dining room. The living area has a wall-mounted TV and an Xbox with Netflix and iPlayer access. There is a large 6-person dining table in the dining area (which is also good for home working).
Spare room – There is a spare single bedroom which is available for all purposes such as guests, laundry, working, etc.
Garage and garden – There is a garage attached to the house which contains a washing machine and tumble dryer. The garage is also good easy access and storage for bicycles. The garden is large with a pond and several trees. We often have BBQs in the summer so there is a large BBQ and outdoor seating equipment for hotter weather.
All bills included in rent, including Superfast Sky broadband and council tax (Band B) if required.
