ME
Hey, I'm Laurence, 28, work for a tech company in Oxford. I'm a laid back guy, I go to the gym and I'm out and about seeing friends often, but love a good film/bit of gaming and glass of wine/beer to relax. Looking for a new flatmate as the current one has accepted a new job in London.
YOU
I've lived in several house shares and I tend to get on better with similar guys who do a sport or who are also out and about a lot, and would want a laid back, social atmosphere in the flat, occasionally cooking together and the odd trip to the pub, own space is important too. I like to keep the flat clean and tidy but I'm not OCD about it. I'm a talk rather than passive-agressive notes kinda guy.
BEDROOM
Nice sized unfurnished double room with a built in wardrobe.
LIVING/DINING ROOM
There's a dining table and sofa. Who needs tv when you have an HD projector and a drinks fridge? There's not much else in the way of decor so feel free to add your own touch. The room is a good size, with shelves, wifi and the balcony. (The pics for the living room and kitchen are a year old and feature a previous flatmate's stuff, new pictures coming this weekend.)
KITCHEN
Fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine with cupboard space and view of gardens.
BATHROOM
Seperate toilet. Bathroom has a shower and basin with mirror and cabinet for toiletries. There are windows in each. Shared between the two of us.
BALCONY/GARDEN/PARKING
On one side of the apartment building there is a row of gardens and trees, including our own plot. There is also a lockable brick shed/outhouse that's good for bikes. The balcony is attached to the living room and although it's on the road-side, there is a row of trees creating a screen from the traffic. There is off road parking - permit needed.
LOCATION
Just off Banbury Road, short walk to Summertown shops where there are supermarkets and cafes. The area has nice facilities including parks and a gym and there are frequent buses into the city centre. I cycle to the centre in about 10 minutes. The new Oxford Parkway train station is 10 minutes away with services direct to London Marylebone.
BILLS & CONTRACT
The tenancy will start 1st February 2017. Rent is £520 per month, electricity, water, council tax and internet average out at around £110 a month. There is an estate agent admin charge and deposit (£910 in total) up front. Contract is 12 months. I'm looking to have someone signed up to move in by first/second week of Jan. The estate agent will carry out the usual reference and credit checks.
