The Cottage

Pretty, rustic cottage set on the borders of Wales and Shropshire, this quaint 150 yr old cottage is located halfway between Oswestry (8.3 mls) and Welshpool (8.5mls) on the A483. We are 15 miles west of Shrewsbury.
Right on our doorstep is easy access to attractions such as many National Trust properties, Offa's Dyke, the Montgomery, Llangollen and Shropshire canal systems. It's a walker's, cyclists and explorer's paradise.

The double room, available from September, is comfortably furnished with a new small double bed, fitted wardrobe space, assorted drawers, a cottage suite type sofa, and a large TV with several streaming channels available. Wi-fi is available.
There is a small table/desk and chair.
Shared facilities include shower room/wc with large shower cubicle (sorry no bath) a brand new and well-equipped kitchen/utility room, plus use of the dining room/lounge and laundry facilities.

The pretty garden is large and shared with my cat and the occasional adventurous sheep. Potterers and diggers are always welcome !!
We are well served by local convenience stores/post offices with banking facilities and some very recommendable local pub/restaurants.

The accommodation would ideally, although not exclusively, suit a retired or semi-retired professional female.
I would recommend that you be a car owner. Off road parking is available.

I do not require a personal reference but will require an employment reference which will be taken up. Retirees would need to produce evidence of income.
I am happy to provide my own references from previous lodgers.

Rent is payable monthly, by BACS, and will be required in advance. NB: RENT INCLUDES ALL BILLS
