Low cost accommodation in Shepton Mallet BA4

A friendly older person with reduced mobility and poor memory is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

This person would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around their home in the evenings and overnight. They would also like some general practical help around the home such as shopping, cooking up to four meals each week, light cleaning and tidying, carrying heavier items, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a bright and spacious furnished double bedroom with
bathroom (occasionally shared with family visitors), and shared use of the kitchen, sitting
room and garden.

The property is in a beautiful area in a village approx. 12 minutes’ drive from Shepton
Mallet, 24 minutes’ drive from Frome and 35 minutes’ drive from Yeovil.

The person loves gardening and it would be wonderful if the Sharer also enjoyed this. They also read, watch TV, go to church on Sundays and to occasional local talks/lectures.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give
the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests.
