I have one very large and one medium sized double room available whilst I am on a career break which finishes end November. After that, I may need the smaller room back, but I'd be happy to talk about a longer / ongoing stay with the right person. The larger room is available ongoing.
**Availability - house is currently let to tenants who will move out between the end of July and mid August, when their house purchase completes. (House purchase will go ahead as buying from developer with no chain). They are happy for me to show you round.
I've let to lodgers for many years so I am very used to sharing the house, and several former lodgers have become good friends. Because of the make up of our house (my daughter will also be home in university vacations), we only let to females please - and single occupancy per room only.
Whilst on my break, I won't be in the house that much as I'm using this time to explore the local area through house sitting. On the odd days I'm back, and continuously from end November, I'm planning to bring back my dog who is currently with my parents. He is a well behaved, friendly border collie, nearly 10 now.
I'm looking for students or working professionals only. Bristol's Langford campus is only a 15 minute drive away - I've let to a few vet /conservation students in the past. Alternatively the train station is just around the corner (2-3 minute walk), and it's just 15 mins to Bristol if you need to be on main campus.
If you work, it would need to be daytime hours, not late evening /night shifts - sorry, it's just I've found from experience that is too disruptive.
About the rooms:
1. Large double room £675pcm available ongoing (room with yellow walls in photos)
Light, airy room furnished with small (queen-sized) double bed, chest of drawers, desk and chair.
2. Medium doyble £550pcm, see beginning of ad re availability.
Can be furnished with single, or small double bed. Chest of drawers, desk and chair.
I can look at sourcing additional furniture if required e. g. wardrobes/ hanging rails.
Shared space:
You have shared use of a large kitchen with dining area, and a shared bathroom with bath tub and overhead shower. Use of fridge freezer, washing machine, and wifi (good speeds).
There is a living room which leads to a conservatory (lovely for breakfast) overlooking the garden. Whilst I'm not in the house you have free run of this (!). When I'm back, it woyld be good to chat about how we will share this space (there is an offshoot area from the kitchen I might turn into a second living area).
Bills:
Bills are included. However if you are NOT a student I ask for a modest contribution to council tax - just the difference between the discounted rate I can get if students live here, and the full rate.
Parking:
There is off street parking right outside the house, on a quiet, safe road. If both lodgers have cars, one of you will need to find parking further along the crescent - there is always space.
Location:
2 mins from train station. We are really close to the beautiful "Strawberry line" walk and there is an excellent Coop supermarket a ten minute walk away in the village.
