You can drive to the nearest beach in less then an hour, or take a train to Weymouth. Makes a nice little day out.

The Hospital is about a 15 minute walk. Leonardo is about a 10 minute drive traffic allowing. If you're a cyclist there's a nice little Cycle Route to Leonardo through a local park. RNAS Yeovilton is about a 15 minute drive.
