Master Bedroom in Friendly Canton Home - Bills Inc

We are a young couple looking to rent out a room in our colourful house. Alongside three bedrooms (1 currently rented by the lovely Josie), there is a living room/dining room, large kitchen, bathroom and high walled garden with covered bike storage.

Our terrace house is sat in a quiet cul-de-sac with friendly neighbours who love a natter. There is always plenty of parking on the street, permit and non-permit :) Despite being tucked away we are very close to all the best Canton has to offer such as...
- The Corporation Market & Yard, Chapter Arts Centre, Hardlines Cafe (5 min walk, 3min cycle)
- Lansdowne Pub (8min walk, 3min cycle)
- Ninian Park Station (3min walk, 1min cycle)
- Cowbridge Road Restaurants, Pubs and Shops (5min walk, 3min cycle)
- Cardiff Central Station (22min walk, 7min cycle)
- Bute Park (18min walk, 6min cycle)

The room:
It is the master room with a double bed, under bed storage, a desk & built in shelves. The room will become available from the 23rd Jan!

About us:
We moved to Cardiff nearly 5 years ago (time flies!) and have enjoyed getting to know the city through its live music, parks, pubs, allotments, people, activism & nearby nature spots. We love all city life has to offer and will try and go along to as many events as we can. That said, we're ultimately outdoorsy types who love camping, hiking and sitting around a fire (which we often do in the garden).

We are sociable and friendly people who often do things as a house collective, though everyone has their own interests and things going on also which is great. Everyone in the house is a vegan (not a requirement to live here!) and we've gotten into a nice routine of being communal sharing and cooking food. It's not too regimented, kind of taking it in turns to cook as and when someone feels like it and all contributing and sharing the cost of veggies in the fridge. Cooking is a big deal in the house and we all love spicy and interesting food from around the world - hopefully you do as well!

Our lovely house mate Josie is days away from 24 - she is super friendly and into similar stuff that we are; bouldering, walking, wild swimming, arts and crafts, cooking tasty food, seeing live music and generally getting up to good stuff.

We have been letting out rooms for 3 and a half years now and keep things in the house maintained and looked after. We've had our own fair share of dodgy landlords and used to be quite involved with ACORN the tenants union to fight dodgy landlords and estate agents.

About you:
We are looking for friendly and open minded person to share our home with. It would be great if we had some over lapping interests but we're equally keen to hear what your weird and wonderful passions are. Aside from that, we are looking to live with someone who is sociable, respectful, open, tidy and has progressive values.

Last time we advertised a room we had a fair few replies and we found it really helps if in your message you could send us as much information as possible about yourself. For instance, what kind of things do you like to get up to normally in the week and weekend? What are you looking for in your housemates and the home itself? Are you working from home and if so for how much of the week? We won't be able to speak with everyone so if you are able to give us plenty to go off that would be super useful! :) It's two way street so please ask us any questions you might have also!
