Very Large Double Room - In a social home.

Hi,

My name is James and I am moving out of my present house, due purchasing my first home. I've been in this current house almost eighteen months.

The house is super friendly and i have loved my time here. The double room available is very large by comparison to other rooms that I have lived in. There is a desk in the room, so if you are looking for a place to work from home - you can either work in the room or in the kitchen with another housemate.

The rent is £285 a month plus bills, which are £61 a month excluding broadband and this is paid quarterly at approx. £23 each. So very cheap and it was ideal for me whilst I was saving up to buy.

The house is located just off Albany Road, Wellfield Road and City Road at the heart of Roath. It is also a short walk from town and is located close to lots of lovely restaurants and pubs.

Two of the housemates are mature PHD students and the other is a professional. One of the housemates also has a cat who is well-behaved, fat and friendly!

The other housemates are very relaxed and lovely to be around. There is a relaxed communal cooking arrangement where people tend to cook for one another to take the stress off cooking every night. One of the housemates is vegetarian, so we tend to eat veggie some nights. Before Covid, it was quite normal to have various friends over for dinner and a bottle of wine. There is a v large wine rack and people really enjoy their different wines.

Other interests (besides cooking and wine): walking, cycling (a few of the house mates in the summer regularly go out road cycling together), surfing, caving, frisbee, gardening, live music/gigs, local beer, camping, baking and talking philosophical nonsense.
