Double room to rent near Cardiff city centre.

A double room has become available in the flat I currently rent from the first weekend of June 2019. The flat is fully furnished and is very comfortable to live in. We have a dishwasher, washing machine, 40 inch tv, PlayStation 4 and sky TV/broadband as well as a two sided balcony with views overlooking both the city and penarth. It is located about a 10/15 minute walk from both the city centre and the bay so it's a very convenient location. There is also a car parking space available in the car park under the building. I rent from a private landlord who is based in West Wales and I've been living in this flat for nearly 4 years now.

Bills are not included in the rent price, but in total we pay around £475 each a month. As a PhD student I am exempt from paying council tax, so there would be a single occupation discount, or if a fellow student were to move in there would be no council tax payments at all.

A little bit about me...my name's Tom and I am currently finishing a PhD at Cardiff University. I like to cook, eat out, keep fit in the gym, watch football (Cardiff city fan). I wouldn't describe myself as a clean freak, but I do like to keep things clean and tidy.

Ideally I'd like to live with someone who works on a similar schedule as me (9-5ish) and like me, likes to keep things fairly clean and tidy.

The room is available until at least the end of August 2019. The landlord is happy to extend the tenancy agreement at the discretion of the new tenant. However I will personally be looking to move out of Cardiff after the end of August 2019, so there would be an opportunity for another tenant to take my place in September.
