Friendly close by De Ferrers school and hospital

Double bedroom

This is a warm and cosy house, at the end of a block of five in a small friendly close behind De Ferrers school and within 25 mins walk of Queens hospital.
The lounge with gas fire and TV is at the front of the house with a kitchen/diner arrangement at the rear over-looking the back garden.
The kitchen has a patio door and integrated appliances including washer/dryer and has plenty of cupboard space.
You would have shared use of the lounge, kitchen, bathroom and garden.
All rooms are Double glazed and central heating is provided by a combi boiler.
Some storage space is available in the loft and the garage.
I work from home and am very happy to provide 24/7 pet sitting for lodger's pets at no extra cost.
I can also provide some light meals like breakfast or lunch.
I can accommodate a lodger's own furniture to some degree, moving mine into the garage. The room does has a fixed fitted wardrobe though.

The bedroom is a double and is at the rear of the second floor and has recently been redecorated.
It measures 15.5' x 10.5'.
There is a king size bed, virtually unused, a full room-width four door fitted wardrobe and two new matching bedside cabinets.
I intend to put a desk and chair in the room so you will have somewhere to work.
The room is North north west facing so gets the evening sun and over looks school playing fields.
The room has Wired and wireless broadband.

I'm Friendly and easy going and get on okay with most people.
I'm quite introverted, an organised planner and am very self sufficient

My work is with software and I have an MSc in super computing.
Through a combination of ambition and a strong desire for freedom I have doggedly avoided conventional employment.
I have been self employed and have co-founded and helped to manage a New York based software company.
Unfortunately with deteriorating eyesight it became impossible to work in the conventional sense and I had to build myself a speaking development environment to continue working with.
My paid work finished some time ago and I'm currently heading back toward self employment.

A few years ago I started dabbling with the native American flute.
The culture is of improvisation far more than playing another's tune and it's a wonderful way to have a bit of fun and express ones self.

The two most wonderful gifts I have discovered in life, qigong meditation from the Chinese and Reiki from the Japanese. I have been involved in natural healing and spiritual circles since I was 30 and still passionately pursue them.
My own experiences of practicing healing on others have been limited but I have had a hand full of successes in helping people and animals. Most memorably I helped two lovely horses to significantly improve their health.

I consider myself spiritual rather than religious. Two of my favourite authors are Eckhart Tolle and Adya Shanti.
