An intelligent, educated and ‘with it’ older gentleman with reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for his home to give them a mix of up to 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

He would primarily value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around his home in the evenings and overnight. He is well-supported by carers, but would also appreciate a little general practical help around the home such as picking up shopping, cooking/sharing a few simple meals, light cleaning and tidying, carrying heavier items, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a furnished double bedroom with its own bathroom and shared used of the kitchen, sitting room and garden. There is also a small study space for someone working from home, and good broadband.

The property is in in the buzzy town of Clare, approx. 30 mins from Bury St Edmonds, 30 mins from Saffron Walden and 40-50 mins from Cambridge.

A retired GP, the gentleman enjoys classical music, the news, TV documentaries and travel programmes (he is well-travelled), the local church and being part of the community.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests.
