Hello!

Our former flatmate is sadly moving on, so we're looking for someone to take over her part of the lease.

The room

A quiet single room that feels bright and airy. It includes our own furniture: a small desk, chair and a chest of drawers, but they are optional if you have your own.

The house

A 3 bedroom corner house in West Croydon, with a paved garden out back. It was refurbished in 2019, so still feels pretty new, and we take good care of it. Downstairs consists of a bright lounge including a giant telly, a dining room with a six-seater table, kitchen, a utility room by the back door, and a bathroom with a bath and a shower. There's also a basement for storage and on-street parking if you need (requires a permit). The house is privately rented, the landlords are lovely and have any problems fixed ASAP.

The area

It's about an 8-minute walk from West Croydon station (on the Overground it's 36min to Shoreditch High Street), with Wandle Park, a pleasant green space, right at the end of the road.
You can also walk to East Croydon in about 15 minutes (where you can get the high-speed train and be in London Bridge in another 15).
Croydon town centre with all its shops is about a 10-minute walk, and you can also get the tram to Purley Way's big supermarkets (or all the way to Wimbledon if needed).

Us

We are a long term couple who each enjoys our own space, but are close nonetheless. It's important to us that you feel welcome and accepted here, we want to help you make a home here too. We both work in tech, and from home (in our bedrooms): Stu runs his own business and Tereza is a web developer.

The process

We really want to live with someone we like and get along with, and we want that person to feel safe and comfortable here.

The bills are paid directly by us and come to about £115/month/person.

The house unfortunately isn't accessible to wheelchair users, and the flight of stairs is somewhat narrow and steep. If you have any other access needs, please let us know.

You will need to go through a standard referencing process with the landlords before you sign the lease, we can give you more information on what that entails.
