Beautiful Sunny Room in Friendly Home

Hi there -

I am Lucy, a friendly mainly working-from-home lady and in our house there is Toby (14) Hatty (11) and Liquorice, our very also incredibly friendly cat. We have had many aupairs and lodgers, from many different cultures and backgrounds in the past and now would like to open up our home and spare room to another person. This would suit a student or someone who works term-time only please as we would prefer this in term-times with possible odd times over the holidays because we often do 'home exchanges' over the summer and school holiday weeks.

We are a fun, welcoming and very used to having UK and foreign people stay with us and really enjoy others company. The room is south facing and very sunny and has a small, comfortable double bed, a wardrobe with lots of storage and a cupboard and a desk and chair and the wifi works very well. You will be sharing the bathroom with one other person who will be respectful of your time in there as we also have an ensuite they can use if you need it more. We have 2 sitting rooms so there's space for you to have some space which is shared with or with out the family and a very large kitchen and garden with a separate space away from the house that can be used to entertain guests if wanted too.

There is space for a car if you drive and the UCA is a walk or cycle away. I am a visiting university lecturer myself and have taught there and currently teaching at Hertfordshire University. This would definitely suit a university student at UCA or lecturer / staff and we would consider a few days a week if that is wanted too. It would equally suit someone who works here in Farnham a few days a week and can be flexible around school holiday dates.

The location is also fantastic and it is easy to walk to local shops and leisure facilities such as tennis courts and is very close to the Bourne Tennis club which has classes and gym. There are numerous pubs nearby too which are an easy walk.

The cost includes the fee for an extra person her for council tax, if you are a student then we can reduce the fee somewhat if you have a valid council tax exemption certificate.
