Double Room in lovely houseshare

No couples please, the room is for single occupancy only.

This is for a good sized double bedroom with a large bay window on the first floor of our house.

The room is unfurnished but there is a chest of drawers and couple of other bits of furniture within the house that can be moved around if you want to use them.

THE HOUSE:
Your rent is for a 3 storey house share, so the living room/kitchen etc. are communal/shared areas and are yours too! We are already set up, but happy to negotiate where you want to put your trophy's/pictures of your dog/hideous chintzy statuettes. We have lived in house shares throughout our adult life so we know how to share space and clean up after ourselves.

The main bathroom with a bath/shower is shared, another toilet on the ground floor for everyone. The other room has an ensuite. Which means there's no stress or fighting in the morning

The garden is a patio and is a good enough size for a hanging out and also comes with a hammock! Most of the decor is pretty fresh but you can nail anything into walls that you like, just poly fill and paint when you leave. I'm happy for you to paint your bedroom black and cover it in posters if you're so inclined, but again, leave it how you found it.

Council tax, Internet and TV license are currently £107ish each paid monthly. Then gas and electricity shared equally between housemates monthly too. Its obviously less in summer and more in the winter. Our brand new boiler is very efficient!

Norbiton station is a 10-12 minute walk away (Zone 5)
New Malden Station is a 20 minute walk away (and zone 4)
The 213 stops about 15 metres away from the house going both ways, and is 24 hour service.
The 131 stop is about 8 mins walk, the 57 is about the same in the other direction.
You can get to Kingston Town Centre in 25 mins, walking at a relaxed pace.

There is parking for 2 cars in the drive, and further parking on the street.

A corner shop, little tesco, chemists, and a chip shop, post office, hermes counter, yodel and in post lockers less than a minute from the front door!

Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime on the telly in the shared living room.

ME:

I am a part-time hairdresser and I also work from home part time for my other job.
I like podcasts, fanstasy/scify/horror/costume dramas/films and series so I will happily binge watch anything with you! Just dont hog the tv watching soaps constanty!!! I love having a good ol' chin wag and chilling with a coffee.

YOU:

I am looking for people who have that perfect ability to enjoy socialising but not worry if they are left alone in the house for a weekend. Who can enjoy the odd meal together and are just as happy looking after themselves, and like nothing more than watching a few movies and having a laugh.

You need to be able to provide one months rent as a deposit as well as first months rent in advance.

I need you to be tidy but not obsessive. I need you to be considerate, clean up after yourself, dont destroy the house and chip in occasionally with household tasks. I need you to be sociable and friendly, and not mind there being guests hanging around for dinner and a drink sometimes - likewise you can invite lovely people round whenever you fancy.
