Well known for the EPSOM DERBY horse racing.
Ewell Village is home to lots of good pubs and restaurants. Being 30 minutes from London Waterloo, 10 minutes from Wimbledon and close to all amenities in Epsom, it is a safe, clean and convenient place to live. It's leafy and green with lots of character.
Big green areas and parks around.
Lovely and quiet, leafy KT19 is an area of early history. Horton Country Park is 480 Acres of protected Parkland with ancient woods and once a Tudor Mansion sat on the site. Because the large site beyond the Park was owned by the NHS til 1970 it stayed rural and was not built up like Epsom, Chessington and West Ewell that surround it. It is a Hamlet called Horton and while it does not have the status of a village yet, it does have a few newly built shops. The Victorian Buildings were refurbished into posh Apartments and Mews Houses and a few larger Houses were built around very large Oak and Fur Trees about 2004. Its very unusual! It feels like West Sussex but its only 4 miles to Surbiton/Hampton Court Palace and the Thames River.
Quite pleasant suburban area
Ewell village is a walk to the market town of Epsom, home of The Derby. Ewell has restaurants, pubs, parks and an olde world High Street.
