Lovely area with beautiful period property and leafy streets. Very well connected to Central London. Up and coming high street sandwiched between posh West Dulwich and Streatham.
I love West Norwood, it really feels like home. I moved to the area 2yrs ago because I couldn't afford to rent in any of the neighbouring areas like Balham, Crystal Palace or Herne Hill.
West Norwood often gets overlooked as it isn't really on the radar in terms of night-life and doesn't have the tube. However, there are some beautiful, cheap properties in the area and lots of large, well-maintained greenspaces.
I work in the City and can commute all the way in by bus. West Norwood is really well-connected with both West Norwood and Tulse Hill train stations just a few minutes walk away and a really good bus service.
There are a couple of nice pubs, a lovely independent coffee shop and deli and the occasional farmer's market. You are within walking distance of Dulwich Village, for that countryside feel or Brixton is just 15mins away by bus.
The area is starting to be regenerated but will never be a mecca for cool. There isn't any sense of pretension and long may it stay that way.
Leafy, green, undiscovered but up and coming area, with nice new cafes & restaurants, and lots of transport links.
West Norwood is a commuter's dream location, the City is only 25 minutes away!The open spaces of Dulwich Park and Streatham Common an easy walk away and Crystal Palace with it's trendy and cosy bars and restaurants is also within walking distance. West Norwood is a great place to be and for residence/tenants it's great to be here to watch the buzz of this location take off. Location Location Location - West Norwood has it all!
