Great location for A1 travel to bypass the 2 lane bottleneck either north or southbound and only a few minutes from Stevenage Hatfield or Luton through the lanes. Real village feel with authentic butchers (game, home-made sausages), convenience store, chemist, post office, 3 pubs and the best Chinese in Herts! Quiet - great if you work shifts eg at hospital or airport, or if you just like it quiet!
Hitchin is a quaint historic market town with good transport connections to London, Luton, Cambridge and the North. It is popular with young professionals because of it's nice bars and restaurants. It also has good schools nearby.
Hitchin has main line station - into central London 25 mins. Much history and large town with lots of places to eat, drink and shop. Good community spirit and welcomes all cultures.
Hitchin is a lovely little town. Cobbled market square, Starbucks and a Neros followed by Pizza Express and Zizzi all the commercial names along with M&S, Waitrose and a Wilkinsons thrown in for good measure..... Oh and there's a Sainsburys tucked round the back.
Hitchin is a historic market town with great rail and road connections to London. It has a chilled cafe culture with many small bohemian independent shops and small businesses. It's a great place to live, with a lively community feel. I love it!
