Local amenities: Several pubs with real character in Royal Wootton Bassett High Street. REALLY good local Chinese, Indian and Fish & Chip takeaways within 5-10 minutes. Royal Wootton Bassett is home to ALDI, Sainsburys and Iceland. The local Tesco is open 6am to 11pm.
Local parks and canal are good for walking. If you like jogging, you can be in open countryside and farmland within 1/4 of a mile! It’s a really great 6-mile circuit 😊 If you are into NatureWatch, you will see deer, pheasants, rabbits, flocks of goldfinches and possibly up to 23 species of butterflies I counted one year!
Location: Royal Wootton Bassett is a historical market town full of character. It gained a high profile in the media during the repatriations of many soldiers from Afghanistan a few years ago. It’s a great community.
Parking available and we’re on the no. 55 bus route to Swindon. Cycle path into Swindon cuts out most of the Great Western Way.
