Short term for TV crew with good transport

I'm looking for a short-term, furnished, double room with good transport links to Croydon and Greater London. In a perfect world I would have an en suite and lots of fridge space. I love animals but am allergic to cats (so no full-time, indoor only kitties).
I work in TV production and have a contract in London through Nov/Dec. I will likely be out on location most days, but would enjoy a cuppa/glass of wine and a chat when I'm around.
