This room to let is ideal for a mature student or person working in Plymouth short term. Regular bus or water taxi to city centre.

Rental: £425 pcm (plus £200 deposit)

Weekly £35 per night with with help yourself breakfast and tea and coffee included, bedding and towels provided.

The room is sunny and spacious, with plenty of storage and a double bed. The large shared kitchen diner is a comfortable place to sit and read or chat, with plenty of room to cook and a dishwasher. Our home is clean and cosy but not immaculately tidy - muddy boots are welcome!

You can catch the water taxi to the city centre in less than 10 minutes or use the regular bus service. There is a public car park opposite our house with bike lockers and electric car points currently being installed.

One of us is Phd student, the other is a musician in his spare time - you may sometimes hear the baritone saxaphone but the walls are thick and we are quiet after 9pm, as we would ask you to be. We sometimes work from home. Smoking is in the garden only.

We have two cats and back garden chickens with plenty of eggs to spare when they are laying. Our garden has views to the Moor and up the Plym. You are welcome to borrow a bike and head for Radford Woods or onto the cycle path to the Moor through Saltram House.

Turnchapel is an old fishing village with two excellent pubs and a lovely riverside cafe. It has a thriving, friendly community. We are right on the coast path and five minutes walk from a safe swimming beach and Mount Batten Water Sports Centre. The very reasonably priced Fort Stamford Health and Fitness Centre (which has an indoor pool) is nearby and there is a local shop within walking distance. More facilities, including banks and a Lidls can be found 10 minutes drive away in Plymstock.

This is an ideal location for anyone who loves walking, sailing, paddle boarding, swimming or real ale or who wants a quiet, comfortable place to stay within easy reach of Plymouth City and nature.
