Decent sized double room

Shared Bathroom

The room comes furnished with a double bed and chest of drawers, currently no bedside tables. The window in the bedroom looks out over the garden, and has views of the forest on the south side of Shillingstone. There is only one bathroom upstairs, which is shared with me, with a great shower/bath and heated towel rail. There is a downstairs toilet, and then a huge open plan kitchen dining room and sitting room, with a wood burning stove. The whole downstairs has underfloor heating, and due to it being a new build is very energy efficient, so gets nice and toasty in the winter. There is a garden that gets plenty of sun. There is a garage but is used as a wood store/gym/shed at the moment.
I have a 2 year old cat, who is incredibly friendly, but spends most of the day and night out in the fields nearby hunting. He will pop in for a cuddle from time to time. Shillingstone village is roughly 5 miles from Blandford which has the closest supermarkets, plenty of pubs and takeaways. Sturminster Newton is about 4 miles away with lots of little shops and pubs. It is a 30 minute drive to Poole, and 40 to Bournemouth and Salisbury. The village itself has a pub which is less than a minute away, petrol station, co-op food store, a couple of cafes. There is a cricket club football pitch and tennis court up the road. Also the river stour is about 400m away, so great for a swim in the summer or for fishing.
