Bright & clean large, recently decorated, furnished double room with double bed and country views. Built-in cupboard. Thermostatic radiator valve so you can set your own room temperature and a TV point for Free view. The room is for single occupancy.

The house: 3 bed detached with 1 landlord sharing including one well-behaved small dog. The house has full gas central heating, and double-glazing, it is always warm and recently upgraded to full fibre broadband with unlimited access. Downstairs it has a lounge with a lovely log stove for cold winter nights. Large kitchen with range cooker and open plan dining room. There are also 2 fridges, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a freezer, and a utility room.

Outside is a large garden with lawn, fruit trees, veg patch, patio, and off-road parking for 4+ cars.

There are chickens and horses outside.

The location: Very rural. You will need a car as it is not in a village or close to shops or pubs but local takeaways do deliver. There is a bus that stops right outside the house that goes to Tollesbury and Colchester. The area is beautiful. It is close to the sea and has lots of lovely walks.

About you: I’m looking for a lodger who is sociable, professional, solvent and easygoing. It is a very sedate and quiet household. You can keep your own room as you wish and there is a cleaner for the common areas.

The legal bit: All utilities are included in the price except landline phone calls. I will check your references and your credit score and you are welcome to check mine.

This is a 5-day let (Monday to Friday only) but I will consider a 7-day let (£140 per week) for short periods or where this would not be your main residence.
