Hello, I have one double room available to rent in a cosy flat mid-way down Leith Walk.

The flat is a bright, spacious tenement style flat, with high ceilings and many original features. It's light and airy, looking directly onto Leith Walk - it's remarkably quiet even being on the main street.

The building is an old tenement style, so the stairs are quite steep and narrow - the flat is on the first floor, with a flight of stairs from street level to the main door, then a further flight of stairs inside.

The flat is in a great location, midway between central Edinburgh and the Shore. There is a main bus route with stops very near to the flat.

The flat has two double bedrooms, shared bathroom (shower/WC/sink), large storage cupboard, and spacious living/dining room off the hallway, the kitchen (with separate pantry) is accessed through the living room.

The room available has a double bed, bedside table, wardrobe, chest of drawers and a small desk with chair.

Kitchen has a washing machine, tumble drier, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster etc. The hob is gas, as is the central heating.

You would be sharing with me and several houseplants (some of which seem determined to die on me!). I work 9-5 M-F in the centre of town, in 'normal' times, and am about to begin a part-time Masters degree. I am sociable, enjoy cooking and baking, outdoor adventures, sewing, and a nice glass of wine after work.
I often go out with friends and like to have people over, but at the end of the day like my home to be a quiet sanctuary to relax in.

Ideally, you will be a working professional, be sociable, clean and tidy. If you're willing to be a guinea pig for new baking recipes, all the better!

Bills: council tax, gas/electric, Virgin broadband are about £110 per person per month.
