A bijou corner of fashionable Central London, walking distance to theatres, nightlife and restaurants of the West End,
Holborn

Remember, it is not called 'Midtown' - that is developer speak. Holborn was once a borough and is now part of Camden. It is a peaceful area - commercial with few long established residents (like me - been here for 30 years). It is also well populated by students. Not a great area for amenities such as shopping - though this changes daily, entertainment, restaurants, nightlife but it is a 15 minute walk to the West End where they do that kind of thing very well. It is central London's little secret and we who live here rather want it kept that way. The other great plus is that it is superbly connected for transport with hugely important hubs at the south and north - Farringdon, King's Cross, St. Pancras and Euston. I fear for its future as a cosmopolitan backwater.

Holborn is one of the most central areas of London, Russell Square being the media hub for the Olympics. You will be in the centre of everything.

Everything that the West End/ Soho/ Covent Garden/ Bloomsbury have to offer is within walking distance. You won't need a taxi. You could try a pedicab for fun.

Great place to live. Easy access to everything.

Being so central is easy to walk to Camden or Covent Garden of if feeling little lazy plenty of buses.
Having Upper Street, Exmouth market and Regents canal on your doorstep means never far away from lots of bars, restauraunts and cinema.
Choice of many shops for food and clothes, Chapel Market on daily with great selection of fruit, veg and other stalls. Also offering a farmers market on Sunday.
If want to get away can walk to the Eurostar in under 10 minutes or nice run towards London Bridge for exercise.
