Beckton is a haven for dog walkers, with the riverside walks, Greenway, 3 fabulous parks and numerous walkways. It also has 3 major shopping parks, not to mention the Asda complex which boasts a newly opened Beauty & Hairdressers with Sunbeds!

The best thing about East Ham are the street markets (brilliant fruit, veg and fish at Green Street Market)... and the fabulous Asian and African food stores... plus the nearby parks, oh - and BRILLIANT coffee at the really cool 'Friends' cafe on Barking Rd - quite a rare thing in the East End, and of course for the money it's great value as it's only 20 mins to the City or Canary Wharf and lots of excellent connections by bus and tube.

There are definitely no trendy bars or nice restaurants in East Ham so it's not so great for people to go out in, I always travel into central London for that. However, I have never felt threatened as a woman walking around on my own, even late at night, so in this respect it feels safe.

Good area to live with everytrhing nearby, buses, parks, shops etc.

Great transport links - District and Jubilee lines as well as A13 and A406. Close to Galliard Shopping Centre and Sainsburys Superstore as well as Asda. High Street North has all main banks and many clothing stores.

A gorgeous multi-cultural village oasis, brimming with parks and greenery, mega-shopping parks tucked away, walking distance from central Beckton, riding school & livery stable, river walks, near to City Airport and with excellent transport links.
