Two furnished double rooms to rent in a house in a pleasant location.
Please note that different rates may apply for short term lets, which will be calculated based on individual basis.
Rent includes council tax, gas, electricity, water, wi-fi internet, TV licence (for communal areas only).
I also pay for communal household items (dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls etc)
About the house:
Large shared living room / dining area / conservatory with great views towards Old Sarum.
Freeview TV, DVD player, wireless broadband, and not one, but two pianos! (Any keen musicians are particularly welcome to have a go!)
Kitchen including hob, electric oven, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge and freezer.
Pleasant garden over-looking the valley and Old Sarum (great for summer barbecues, or just sitting out and enjoying the great British summer!)
Free parking. Close to local bus routes to the train station and town centre.
A bit about me:
I'm an easy-going, generous person, frequently willing to go the extra mile for my housemates. Fairly shy, but very much enjoy the company of others. Enjoy a night out in town, but also happy to have a quiet night in with a bottle of something and a movie.
I'm quite active and outdoorsy - into sports (such as tennis, badminton, running, climbing and swimming), and outdoor activities (hiking, cycling and trekking). I also enjoy music - playing piano in particular - and have quite eclectic tastes! (I hope you like Rachmaninov!)
I work as an actuary, on a contract basis, so how much I'm around depends on my work situation. My partner and I both currently work from home most of the time.
I sometimes also have Airbnb guests (when there are rooms available).
What I'm looking for from a house share:
Ideally, I am looking for more than just someone who pays the rent on time and is tidy (though both those qualities would be greatly appreciated!). I believe the perfect house share is one where, after a while, housemates stop being just housemates and become friends (the words "landlord" and "lodger" have no place outside the lodger agreement!), where we can all enjoy each other's company and socialise together, while at the same time respecting everyone's privacy and need for space.
I have welcomed into my home people of many different nationalities. Therefore people from overseas who have chosen to make the UK their home - whether from EU or further afield, are very welcome.
If you're interested, please feel free to drop me a line telling me a bit about yourself and what you are looking for from a house share, and we can fix up a time for you to come for a look round and a chat.
