The room is available until 10th Nov 2017 when the flat will be refurbished by the landlady.
The well-sized room in question measures length: 5. 18m (17ft), width: 2. 59m (8. 5ft) and height: 2. 44m (8ft), and has a large amount of storage space, as well as benefiting from large windows which means it gets a great deal of natural light. It’s tastefully decorated and putting up your own posters, pictures, shelves, etc is not a problem.
The rest of the flat has a huge living room, with 2 lovely soft sofas and a dining table as well as some bookshelves, a coffee-table, etc, and like the bedroom, gets a lot of natural light in the day. It also has a Sky TV box so lots of extra TV channels available, as well as 100Mb Wireless Broadband.
The kitchen is well maintained and has a brand new washing machine, really good electric oven/gas hob, microwave and espresso maker coffee machine. There is also a full range of cutlery/crockery as well as saucepans, frying pans, etc, so not a problem if you don't have your own.
The bathroom has a large bath with a wall shower. There's a mirrored cabinet and shelf so lots of storage too. The flat is fully central heated. The flat is on the first floor of the 1960's built building which has an outer main door and flat-specific mailboxes. There is also a lift in the building which is very handy when moving in!
A bit about me: I’m 37, from West London originally (though North London all the way now) and work for a software company in Southwark. As a flatmate, I'm tidy, considerate, fairly quiet but sociable and would be looking for a flatmate with similar qualities. I'd like to share with someone who is sociable, but who is also fairly independent and happy doing their own thing. You’ll also be sharing with my very friendly cat so it will help if you are fond of pets...
The flat is on a quiet, tree-lined street just off the Holloway Road. The Odeon cinema, all the banks, shops and cafes at Nag's Head are no more than 5 minutes away, including a post office, Marks & Spencer’s, Morrison's and Waitrose. There is permit parking available and this only costs £55-£75 a year, depending on the size of the car. There is also room to store a bike in the building itself. Aside from what's listed above, there's one or two really lovely pubs close by as well as the obligatory Wetherspoons. In terms of clubs/venues, The Archway Tavern, The Hideaway and The Garage are all in the immediate vicinity too.
For you people fitter than I, there is Sobell Sports centre and a Fitness First gym about 10 minutes walk. There is also a nice little park about 5 minutes walk away which also has football pitch facilities. Hampstead Heath, Clissold Park, Primrose Hill, etc are all just one bus away.
Transport links are amazing – 20 seconds walk to a bus stop serving Kings Cross, Old Street, Angel, Waterloo, London Bridge, Liverpool Street, etc (17, 43, 271)… a 5 minute walk will get you to buses serving Camden, Chalk Farm, Kentish Town, Trafalgar Square, Wood Green, etc (29, 91, 153, 253, 254, 393). Holloway Road Tube (Piccadilly) is 7 minutes walk, Archway tube (Northern) is 10 minutes walk, and Finsbury Park and Highbury & Islington (Victoria) are also close by. Upper Holloway Overground station is only 4 minutes walk also.
The total weekly cost of the flat is £170 which includes all bills (Council Tax, Water & Gas/Electricity), 100Mb wireless Broadband and Sky TV.
