About the spare room...

I live in a beautiful three-four bedroom Victorian house in Balham and am looking for a lodger for one of my lovely spare rooms.

The location is amazing - 4 minutes walk (400 metres) to Balham tube/train stations and the same distance to Wandsworth Common train station. It’s particularly nice being so close to Balham High Street with all of its amenities and also the lovely green spaces of Wandsworth Common.

The house is large and built over three floors with a lovely south facing garden. There is a train line at the bottom of the garden but the trains are not loud at all and the bedroom
windows are double glazed so you barely notice them.

The shared rooms include a large separate living room, huge kitchen/dining room and includes a separate laundry with washing machine and dishwasher. There is also a downstairs WC.

The room is sunny and large on the 2nd floor with built in wardrobes, bedside tables, a small chest of drawers, mirror and includes a lift-up storage bed. There are also double doors to a Juliette balcony.

There is a bathroom with a large shower and lots of storage which will be shared with a maximum of 1 other person.

I currently have a cleaner who visits every other week and all utility bills are included.

About me...

I'm a 37 year old professional female who works shifts. I frequently work weekends and nights so often have to sleep during the day. I confess to being a complete neat freak and love having a nice home but I'm also a surprisingly chilled out person, honestly! I play the harp, do lots of Pilates, love travelling (who doesn't) and on my days off I'm always up for a drink in the local pub.

Who I'm looking for...

I'm looking for a mature (in attitude not necessarily age), relaxed and considerate flatmate. I love to socialise but this isn't a party house and with my shift work it's likely you'll have the place to yourself a lot. I currently have a like minded lodger and the house is very chilled & harmonious. As this is my home it’s far more important to me to find a compatible flatmate than to rent the room quickly. I can also be flexible with timescales and would consider renting a room on a Mon-Fri or part time basis.
