2 guys (Irish & Brit) looking for chill, fun house

Hi, we are Fin and Kapil, two young professionals (24 and 23) and current housemates who are looking for a new place together, as our landlord is selling our house.

Fin is originally from Cork, Ireland, and works in finance, while Kapil is from Kettering and works in recruiting. We’ve been living in houseshares for years so we know how to behave ourselves and be good housemates - we clean up after ourselves, respect other people’s stuff and don’t cause drama. We both try to be decent fun though, neither of us takes ourselves seriously and we’re always up for a laugh or going out for a few pints.

For interests, we both enjoy music and movies of course, but also really appreciate history and science and love going to museums. We’re both huge MMA fans, and Kapil is a big football fan, while Fin likes also football (but the American kind) and rugby. We both attempt to keep fit and train a bit in martial arts. We read quite a bit too and are always up for a good discussion.

Our ideal housemates would be friendly people who we could get on with and have fun living with. We both want to live somewhere where the housemates are friends and the place is a home rather than a house. We won’t be hanging off you the whole time though - you need a good balance of camaraderie but also a bit of privacy and time to do your own thing for any houseshare to work.

As for the house or flat itself, as long as the room is alright and the landlord is a good sort, we’re happy. The only dealbreaker for us is if the place doesn’t have a shared living room, places without anywhere communal to hang out and socialise aren’t fun to live in, in our experience.
