26 yo professional female with small dog

Jasper is a small 12 or 13 year Jack Russell, very well behaved and house trained but is happiest when sitting on a human's lap. When I'm at work full time he does bark because of his separation anxiety, but if this is a problem I can arrange dog sitters and anyway would prefer to do this as he gets older.
I do smoke but I'm happy to go outside. I enjoy cooking and dog walking and unwinding with a glass of wine sometimes after work.
I'm looking for affordable accommodation on a temporary but longer term basis while I try to save to buy my forever home.
