Married couple seek part time accommodation

We are a mature married couple looking for dog friendly reasonably priced bolt hole in Liverpool or the Wirral. We live in the South West but share out time between home (Liverpool) and where my kids are (Exmouth). Currently we are shelling out on hotels but would like to simplify things with an 'all included' double room or similar in and around the area with decent broadband (I work predominantly from home) where we can crash with two dogs (well behaved collie crosses). I am more of a Wavertree, Aigburth, Allerton kind of man and my wife is from Willaston so favours the Wirral- but we are easy either way. Just be nice to have a home from home were we can leave our things. We'll be around less that 50% of the time so wear and tear will be low!
