Looking for a short-term sublet/rental :)

I am looking for a short-term sublet or rental for the start of my new life in Manchester. I currently live in London and have landed a job with Manchester City Council, and so am making the big move up North. My plan is to eventually rent my own studio - so in the short-term, I want to have somewhere comfortable and cosy that will help me find my feet and allow me to save up for living solo.

My office is in Hulme, so finding a room in or around that area would be ideal, but not absolutely necessary.

A bit about me: I am a 31 year old young professional who is into creativity, fitness, wellbeing, politics and travelling. I only know a few people in Manchester and Leeds, and so I will be looking to build connections and friendships. I don't think I need to be best friends with the people I live with, but nonetheless, I still like to be a part of a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I am up for watching TV together, having a natter over a glass of wine, sharing food or playing a board game. At the same time, I respect that we all have our own lives and need time to ourselves too.

I am a clean and tidy person and appreciate living with other people who are the same. I don't have any pets myself, but would be happy to live with one! I am someone who stays engaged with world affairs, so if this is something that interests you, I am always up for putting the world to right with you! I am LGBTQ+, and will have friends and loved ones come over who are too.
