Need a room to rent

I'm working part time in a as a commis chef and getting topped up by Universal credit. So I need somewhere where universal credit will not cause anyone any problem. I do have a little savings myself so I'm not totally dependant on the universal credit.
I need to move out of my friends spare bedroom as they are getting grief for subletting. So i'm looking for a cheap room somewhere .
I don't really care about what size it is right now . As long as it's warm, dry and has a washing machine. I do have my own furniture, so unfurnished is fine or if furnished I can leave my stuff at my friend's for storage.

I'm English guy and lived in the North East all my life, currently working near Stanley.

Ideally just need a bed as I will be around my friends most the day anyway or at work.
