Looking for a double room- house share or buddy-up

Hi there! I’m moving to Edinburgh for my Master’s + PhD in Science & Technology Studies. I’m originally from California, though for the past 8 years I lived/worked in Melbourne, Australia.

I’m an easygoing and tidy flatmate. I enjoy spending time on my own, but would also love to find flatmate(s) who would like to socialize on evenings or weekends (watching tv/movies, game nights, hiking/walks, museum visits, lowkey pub nights). But I’m also considerate and respectful of personal space & privacy.

I found out last year I’m celiac, so sadly I can’t eat gluten. But if you’re up for eating the occasional gluten-free dinner, we could cook together as well. :)

Since I’ll be spending a lot of time studying, I’m looking for a large/double room. Happy with either a shared or private bathroom, depending on whatever's available! Ideally I’d like to live in/find a place that has a dishwasher + washing machine, within a 20-ish min walking distance of the University of Edinburgh or with easy access to public transport to get there. I’ve got a budget of up to $850 pcm.

I land in Edinburgh on 12 Oct, with a 2-week hotel quarantine planned. I’ll be available for any virtual showings/video chats from the 12th onward, and I’ll be available to meet, move in, or search for places in-person after 26th October.
