Looking for a room to rent

The owner of the flat/room I’ve been renting for the last five years has taken back their property, leaving me sofa surfing since February 11th, so I’m desperately searching to rent a room with help from the council as a part of their Private Renting Self-Help Scheme where they are willing to pay a non-refundable incentive payment to a prospective new landlord in return for granting you a tenancy in a new home in the private rented sector.

I’m a 33 years old mature respectable young man who is looking for a place to call home with nice roommates I get along with, and can socialise with from time to time.

I am on Universal Credit and I currently receive housing benefit, so I hope that isn’t a problem, because I really do need a room to rent...

I enjoy my one on one time, and spend a bit of time on my laptop writing my stories, but I have no problem socialising with friendly people, laughing, and having good conversations.
