Cheery soul seeking spare room

I'm 52, separated, and currently living in Wales with a friend, but I work in the Midlands. I'm looking for lodgings (not a HMO if possible) in Shropshire or Worcestershire, maybe even the Powys borders for easier access to my job in Dudley. I am an ex military nurse, clean, tidy, love animals, enjoy peace and quiet but love having fun with friends. Think I have a decent sense of humour, and have friends from age 20-70, I'm quite open minded and take people as I find them, making new friends is good and I can be quiet and gregarious in equal measure!
After falling in love with rural life I'd really like to make my forever home rurally or in a village when my own house sale eventually goes through... (this wont be for the next 4-6 months at least) I'm currently staying with an old army friend but his personal circumstances are changing so I need to make myself scarce! I'd really like to be rural or in a place with a sense of community like a village or nice shared house as I'm making friends again and finding a new life after separation. I love being close to nature and the sea and camping. I have a landy so getting about isn't difficult.
I'm looking for a double room, with parking or access to it close by, and somewhere with a washing machine as I wear scrubs. I'd like to be within an hourish of Dudley, but other than that I dont mind. I am an animal person, dogs, cats, horses and livestock are all good by me, I can ride a little but not well. I'm happy to do my share of the chores as needed, will happily walk the dog/feed the cat/chickens/goldfish. I ride my bike in my spare time, enjoy walking, love nature and have just started running again after a very long time!
