Doctoral Researcher in Search for a Home

Hi everyone,

I'm a doctoral researcher at King's College London, looking for a room in a friendly, small flatshare (with 1-2 others), for around 1-2 months from early April. I'm flexible and happy to discuss dates.

I'm seeking a home that strikes a good balance—where we can occasionally enjoy a chat over dinner but also have downtime and personal space. I'm clean, tidy, and hope to find like-minded flatmates to maintain a relaxed, pleasant environment.

My preferred location is South London (zones 2-3), particularly around Camberwell.

Though I'm formally a student, I’m really just another young professional. My "salary" just happens to come from a scholarship and life savings from previous work. I lead an active life and am often out for work at the library or seeing friends, so I'd love to live with people who have a similar rhythm.

A little more about me: I'm 34 and, like many of us millennials , still figuring things out. I recharge by being in nature (morning runs, hikes, camping) or having deep chats with friends over dinner or drinks. I come in full editions of English, Arabic and French, and I can get by in Turkish and Italian. I'm a trained lawyer, but now I spend my days delving into colonial legal history for my PhD (hopefully not for long).
