Looking for rental near Altrincham

I am a teacher from Nelson, New Zealand, I am moving to Altrincham, Cheshire this year in April
My next teaching post is a maternity cover at BTH Catholic college in Alty starting in April. Currently I am home in Nelson New Zealand, but will be flying back to the UK on April 15th.
So I am looking for a place to rent for 6mths. Hopefully near the BTH Catholic college, I travel every weekend and during the summer school holidays I am mostly away sailing. (this year we have hired a narrow boat for July & August)
I am looking for a large double room or studio unit: that has parking / ensuite / bike storage / room for a teachers study desk for marking (which is 'loads' of fun!).
I LOVE to travel so I am away every weekend sight seeing. Europe is my favorite.
