Quiet & peaceful place, 58 yo working professional

Hi, just started a job in the veterinary profession in the area (no pets and no family in tow). Would like to live in or close to Ayr. Am a quiet person and never watch TV nor listen to music much. Am very clean, tidy and respectful, lucky to have travelled a lot and have done plenty of house-sitting. I love my own company and seek solitude in a shared setting if that makes sense (as I like people being around but my job is so busy and I work long shifts, so I need to be on my own to unwind fully). Ideally I'd be lucky to find someone with a granny flat (or similar) so I can have my own self contained space. Do you have a place I'd be able to stay? My move in / move out date can be flexible, as can duration of stay to suit you. What would suit me best is somewhere for an initial 2 months to see how things go, and take from there? Main office will be in Ayr but my work will take me all over Ayreshire, Dumfries and Galloway.
