Artist/professional - spare-room/1 bedroom flat

Hi I’m Matt, 34 years on planet Erf, currently living with friends in a houseshare in Easton. The tenancy is ending as 2 of the tenants are in love and have (suddenly) decided to move on to a much cheaper place of their own. I’m very happy for them. I’m also delighted about how little time it has left the rest of us to look for a new place to live.

Ideal move in date would be end of April/beginning of May but I am wonderously flexible.

About me…I moved to Bristol in 2022 to infiltrate the art scene here by way of an art degree. I graduated in September 2025 and things have been going really well since then - I currently work as a delivery driver through an agency. My main focus however, remains developing my art practice. I’ve exhibited here in Bristol a few times and plan to keep doing so. I’m currently an Associate at Spike Island and am looking to secure a studio in the city at some point in the near future.

In terms of living situations, I like my solitude but I do enjoy living in a sociable space if it’s in a houseshare. I’m a fairly quiet person myself but I don’t mind noise - current living room is used as a rehearsal space for my mates band - but I do want to live in a clean and tidy environment. I like to go out to gigs, pubs, clubs and events, I go out hiking a lot and spend a lot of time at home drawing, writing, reading, making tunes, watching films, making amazing food and chatting to my friends, who I’m sure I will miss more than I know.
