Friendly Professional Couple Searching for a Room

Hi everyone 🙂

We are on the hunt for a new place to call home from mid April onwards and are ideally looking for something between Hampstead Heath and Angel.

I (Isla) am a 28yo kiwi and have been living in London for 4 years now. I work full time (M-F) as a radiation therapist. I enjoy reading, walking/hiking, being outside and have a passion for cooking/baking. I have finally started to find half decent brewery’s and enjoy the occasional craft brew or two at the local but also very much enjoy a wine and cheese night at home watching trashy tv. As one of the millions of kiwis in London I do find myself making the most of Europe’s proximity and love to travel and explore new places both solo and with friends.

Edoardo, Ed to make life easy, is 29 and from Italy. He works 9-5 as a data analyst and WFH 3-4 days a week. He loves everything and anything to do with food (he makes a bangin’ pasta, go figure!) and loves eating out and experiencing the food scene London has to offer. He also enjoys travelling but is quite into politics and keeping up with the world happenings.

The house 🏡: Our ideal house share would be located reasonably central or in a nice leafy, safe district in zone 1/2. It should be close to public transport options. I would like for the house to have a communal living room so that we can socialise as a flat family and bonus points if it has a garden to relax or bbq in on a sunny day! It must have an ample sized kitchen as we are both big foodies and I do come with a kitchen aid mixer and a small library of cookbooks!

The room🏠: We would love a spacious double, preferably furnished and with an ensuite. If there isn’t a WFH space in the house the room will need to fit one in there for Ed’s work.

The Flatmates 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦: We would like to be in a flat of non-smoker working professionals who enjoy socialising with each other, but respect each other’s space at the same time. They should be house proud and like a tidy home (very keen to have a cleaner every other week or so!). We would enjoy sharing the cooking within a flat, but this isn’t a deal breaker as often schedules don’t allow for this! We’d love to have the occasional dinner party, games night, pub quiz, movie night or night out on the town with our new housemates and our ideal flat family would also be keen for trips away together (day or longer) because who doesn’t want to escape London for the sun (or snow!) in winter!

Budget 💷: Our budget is flexible but ideally we would like to max out at £1800 incl. bills.
