Mature-minded, clean & tidy Australian guy

Hello prospective landlords/housemates.

I am an Australian guy looking for a flat/house share in Billingham with all bills included so it makes it easy for everyone, preferably, with one other person rather than two or three.

On a case by case basis, I would consider sharing with more than one person, especially in a detached property. I am also considering a move further out to Thornaby, Ingleby Barwick or Yarm.

Right now, I am staying with extended family and I have temporarily retired.

I have the means to support myself financially but if the need arises, I can work (not in a pub pulling pints lol) as I am also a Great British citizen with a UK passport so I can legally live and work here.

I would also consider doing extra chores around the house in exchange for a reduction in rent if that is something you are looking for.

A little more about me...

Generally, I am easy going, use commonsense with a logical, organised approach to life and I like a good laugh.

I like to think that I am considerate, compromise when necessary and respect other people and their needs.

Having lived on my own on and off in the past, I am capable of cooking, cleaning and washing etc.

I enjoy eating fresh and healthy food, rather than packaged processed foods. I don't drink alcohol that much but in the past I have one or two in social settings.

I am a fit and active person who likes going to the gym but I don't mind house sharing with others who do not share the same enthusiasm for exercise.

I go to the gym and yoga regularly so I use the showers at the fitness centre rather than the bathroom at home. I am happy to do the same in your house so that should save water and heating/electricity costs.

I don't watch TV in general, so you would be free to watch whenever and whatever you like - hopefully that is music to your ears lol.

I like to keep my mind active so I enjoy puzzles and games, on my own or with others, rather than watch TV.

I prefer to keep up with the news and what is going on in the world by watching YouTube podcasts on my laptop from independent journalists with no political agendas.

I can be quiet if that is what you prefer but I can also engage in conversation/share opinions on a wide range of topics, due to my education and life experience. I would welcome any chats.

My only non-negotiable is smoking inside the house, so I couldn't share with a smoker unless they smoke outside.

Lastly, my ad photo is a passport photo. It's the reason I couldn't smile so it is why I probably don't look happy.
