Visiting PhD student looks for a lovely flat

Hi there,

My name is Markus. I'm from Berlin in Germany and came here in March as a visiting PhD. I'm currently staying in a shared flat near London Road, but due to my dust mite allergy seem to have a lot of problems with this flat. Hence why I'm potentially looking to move somewhere else in April, i. e. for the remaining two months.

Prior to coming here, I lived with my partner in Berlin, but I have been sharing flats for more than 10 years. I consider myself to be a clean, sociable and easygoing person. I enjoy a chat over a cup of coffee or a glass of beer/wine, though I also need my quiet from time to time.

I'm a rock climber and just recently rejoined the Edinburgh Climbing Club. I first joined them in 2024, when I'd similarly come here for three months to conduct research for my PhD. Aside from climbing, I enjoy hiking, swimming, pub quizzes, card games, and talking Scottish politics (my PhD is concerned with it;). Oh, and I'm a big fan of Soul Water Sauna!
