Young professional seeking room (south Edinburgh)

(chickens not included, sorry)

Hello! I am a recent Sustainable Development graduate (University of Edinburgh) looking for somewhere to move from June/July '24.

I'm looking for a room in a house or flat to the South or West of Edinburgh. I have my own furniture so wouldn't need a furnished room.
On a practical note, I have a small car for commuting so would appreciate a property with a driveway and/or street parking.
I was a live-in landlord in Edinburgh for a couple of years so am a responsible individual to live with (happy to go into more detail).

Lifestyle/what it's like living with me:

- I spent a year living in Germany, and then in Edinburgh with German flatmates where we adopted a communal lifestyle of sharing meals and housework, which I would be keen to continue.

- I'm an extroverted person and would love to develop a friendship with the people I'd be living with. However, I fully appreciate that everyone needs their own space and I would never want to intrude or demand interaction with those I live with.

- I'm a clean and tidy individual who doesn't shy away from washing up and taking the bins out - I enjoy a cathartic, big house clean on a Sunday.

- I'm also quite nifty with DIY (repainting bedrooms, fixing appliances, building planters and compost boxes most recently).

- I don't smoke but I do drink socially. I'm a vegan but would have no problem living with meat-eaters and would never expect others to change their diet around me.

- in terms of hobbies, I enjoy sewing and other crafting. I have a piano keyboard to bring with me that I'm very happy for others to use - it also has headphones, don't worry!
